The screened nominees includes immediate past commissioners, (Work and Infrastructure) Moses Teibowei, (Attorney General of Justice) Biriyai Dambo SAN, (Finance) Maxwell Ebibai, (Education)Dr. Emelah Gentle, (Special Duty East) Brodrick Preye , and (Mineral Resources) Dr. Ebieri Jones.

Also the immediate commissioner for (Youths and Sports) Daniel Igali, who is also a nominee was absent, while Mrs. Koku Ebiuwou Obiyai, a former Assembly member was asked to bow and leave.

Others were Mr. George Flint, Engr. Komuko Akari Kharin, Mr. Perepuighe Biewari, Barr. Peter Afagha, Mrs. Elizabeth Bidei and a former Council Chairman, Mr. Michael Magbisa.

We also gathered that the commissioner nominee list elicited some form of uproar across the state as most of the returnee nominee were people who performed below expectations.

Governor Diri dissolved his cabinet a week after his inauguration on February 14.

The Speaker presided over the screening which took place at the Assembly complex , Yenagoa, the state capital.
