Organizer’s of a foremost prestigious platform in the Niger Delta known as the Bayelsa Media Network Award (B.M.N.A) has nominated Tobis Clinic for an award as the best hospital in Bayelsa State.
This was made known when organizer’s of B.M.N.A paid a visit to management of Tobis Clinic,on Friday 24th November, in Yenagoa, to notify them of the nomination for the award.
The Project Manager of BMNA, Mr Blessing Mathew Ozegbe,while presenting the letter of nomination for the award to Prof Ebi Ligha, Director Of Clinical Services,Tobis Clinic & Consultants,explained that over 200 deserving personalities and organizations from all over the country have been honored for their enormous contributions to the development of society and mankind.
Ozegbe said,unknowing to the management of Tobis Clinic,the media which is the watch dog of the society,the public,patients of the hospital are all taking note of the clinic in terms of conduct and care for their patients in rendering medical service henced the need for the nomination for the award as the best hospital in the state.
His words “We have honored over 200 persons and organizations not only Bayelsians.This is the only event where you see people coming from the North,East,West.Sir,you people are really doing well,I will also advise for you people to improve on it, somebody somewhere is watching and if you have done so much is left for we to recognize you.
“We journalists are the watch dog of the society,what are we suppose to do? and there’s no better way to say well done, than recognizing and giving you this prestigious award for your enormous contributions to society in terms of health care for our people.”He added.
He, advised the management of the hospital not to relent in their quest for a better health care delivery but to see this fit achieve has a call to do more service,he also used the medium to called on other hospitals in the state to emulate Tobis Clinic.
In his response, the Director Of Clinical Services,Prof Ebi Ligha, thanked the organizer’s for recognizing the hospital as the best Hospital in Bayelsa state, saying their enormous contributions in ensuring they provide good health care for Bayelsians has not been in vain.
He said it’s as a result of the collective interest of all that made it possible for the clinic to have come this far,while acknowledging the fact that they have also invested heavily in providing good health care for Bayelsians and people living in Bayelsa.
The Director Clinical Services, further promise not to betray the confidence bestowed on them by the organizer’s of BMNA,while notfying the public to look out for the cancer center being set up by the hospital so as to curtail the rate at which people travel for cancer check.
