Aisha Bura Emerges NAWOJ President. By Ladidi Al Hassan

 

Aisha Bura from Borno State has been elected the new President of the Nigeria Association of Women Journalists, NAWOJ.

Aisha defeated the incumbent Ladi Bala to emerge the President at the 11th Triennial Delegate Conference of NAWOJ, held in Abuja.

Bura lost against Ladi in 2020 at the 10th Triennial Delegate Conference in Minna, Niger State but returned this year to achieve her dream.

Similarly, 5 others including Adeola Adekunle won election into the position of Vice presidents,  Wasilan Ladan, emerged National Secretary of NAWOJ, Lillian Okonkwo emerged National Deputy President while other candidates on the Bura team won their elections.
