Bunorr Integrated Energy Limited Commend NCDMB For Its Support.
Bunorr Integrated Energy Limited has commended the Nigeria Content Development and Monitoring Board, NCDMB, for its consistent support, guidance and partnership at supporting Nigerian local content.
The Managing Director of Bunorr Integrated Energy Limited, Mr Modestus Ikechukwu Okeke made the commendation during a visit to its facilities by NCDMB at Omagwa Rivers State .
Bunorr Limited, which is an indigenous energy company is focus on recycling of used engine oil also produce base oil and other by-products whose operations directly support Nigeria’s commitment to energy circularity, environmental sustainability, local content development and import substitution.
While acknowledging NCDMB’s role in the success of Bunorr, Okeke said the company’s progress in the past six months is deeply connected to the support of NCDMB.
However, he appealed to the Rivers State government to urgently provide public electricity to the Omagwa community, he said inadequate power supply remains a significant barrier to industrial growth and local energy innovation.
According to Okeke, access to stable public power would drastically reduce production costs and support the expansion of the company’s recycled base oil manufacturing for Nigeria’s lubricant market.”
“A substantial portion of our resources currently goes into diesel and private power generation funds that could be invested in expansion and job creation he explained.”
“Okeke disclosed that Bunorr has fully recovered from more than two years of operational downtime,the company, he said, now enjoys improved production efficiency, increased output, and a positive operating surplus.he added that November 2025 recorded the company’s highest revenue since commissioning, reinforcing its commercial viability.”
In his remarks, NCDMB Head of Government Relations, Mr. Teddy Bai, lauded Bunorr Integrated Energy Limited for its renewed operational excellence and commitment to advancing Nigeria’s circular industrial economy.
He encouraged the company to sustain its drive for indigenous expertise and quality service delivery. “We encourage local capacity, and we are confident in the responsibilities that local content represents, you are producing quality, and you are managing quality.”
On BUNORR’s appeal for public electricity supply, Bai, stressed the crucial role of media advocacy in accelerating government attention to industrial challenges.
He said, “There’s something you talked about power electricity, I think you have the right people here who can drive that, and that is the media,because of what they have seen today, you will see reports in various media platforms and I encourage you to take that part seriously we will report it to our management.”
He further emphasized the need for environmental consciousness and clean energy practices, contrasting BUNORR’s regulated operations with unsafe methods in the creeks.
“We talk about a clean environment and clean energy these are not things our cousins do out in the creek servicing four or five cars and wasting crude oil, we are also polluting the environment, and this waste can generate money for us, he noted.”
