DELTA COMMISSIONER ANGELE, IWC FOUNDER ODUONE AND DEPUTY PRESIDENT HART SPEAK AT IYC 10TH NEC INAUGURATION.

The inauguration of the 10th National Executive Council of the Ijaw Youth Council Worldwide drew goodwill messages and reactions from government official, women leader, and member of the new executive.

The stakeholders spoke yesterday at the Ijaw House in Yenagoa, ahead of the inauguration of the Ijaw Youth Council, IYC 10th NEC.
Hon. Godknows Angele, Commissioner for Housing and Youth Development, Delta State, in his goodwill message said āFrom the background you can see as well that the foundation is unity. They should unite everybody together. I want to come and letās use wisdom to bring everybody together. That is just what I have to say.ā
He added that. āTo the Ijaw Nation, to the Ijaw Youths, I know definitely the new President of IYC will go to Ijaw Nation, to Ijaw Youths.ā
Mrs. Rosemary John Oduone, Founder/Pioneer President, Ijaw Women Connect Worldwide, spoke on the sidelines of the inauguration.
On the ceremony, she said: āWe are very excited because for once we are seeing the Ijaw Nation coming together to celebrate the youth wing. It is our desire as mothers of the Ijaw Nation to always make sure that there is peace in all our traditional institutions. So for this we are very happy.ā
On the new President, she stated: āWe know Dr. Doubra. His capacity cannot be placed on doubt. He has the capacity, the competence and the character of service. So we know that he will further strengthen the tenets of progression and everything will go well.ā
Engr. Aladiokuma Henry Hart, newly inaugurated Deputy President of the Ijaw Youth Council Worldwide, expressed excitement saying: āItās a good feeling. Itās a feeling to serve. The urge has been there.ā
He added: āMy message to Ijaw youths and the entire council is that this executive council is going to take the job from where it used to be, to where it is, to where it is supposed to be.ā
