Ahead of the Nov 11 gubernatorial election in Bayelsa State, Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori has described his Bayelsa State counterpart,Senator Douye Diri as a perfect picture of a loyal servant.
He made this known on Saturday 6th during the commissioning of the Etegwe roundabout, and Agilobi road Agudama Epie all in Yenagoa,constructed by Senator Douye Diri’s government.
According to the governor Diri’s care for the people has made him very dependable, Notting that he assumed office and priotize security of the state, so that infrastructure development and others can run fast.
His words “with the level of the developmental strides, priotizing of security, and human capacity development of the Gov. Diri administration, he deserves another tenure.
You ensured an enabling environment for business to thrive. Every sector of the state’s economy has felt the positive impact of your administration.
You also committed service to linking the three senatorial district of the state. Am proud to associate with Governor Diri’s success story, and I trust the people of the state will come out to vote you massively in the forthcoming election.
If he is not doing well I won’t have come, with all the project he has executed, he truly deserves another tenure. With his proven tract record of performance. God brought him here to deliver the state, it is your season, and the state is peaceful.”He said
Also Speaking, Bayelsa State Governor, Senator Douye Diri, said Yenagoa have been known as one road city but today the narrative has changed. The benefits of such roads are very enormous.
He revealed that the vision of his administration is to make Yenagoa to be at per with other capital city in the country or even better, which means a lot to the people.
He added, “This place was a hideout for criminals, women and ladies were robbed and harassed on a daily basic but we don’t experience such anymore. We are happy that our people has given us the support to develop their communities”
The Paramount Ruler of Etegwe Community,HRH Ile Gard had earlier thanked the Douye Diri’s administration for coming to their aide by constructing the Etegwe roundabout, which he said had been a den for criminals.
