Hon. Muftau Egberongbe has emerged winner of the All Progressives Congress (APC) primary election for Apapa Federal Constituency of Lagos recording a decisive victory in 6 out of 10 wards in the constituency out of which Ijora ward votes were cancelled due to fracas

The primaries, which were keenly contested by four aspirants, produced a clear outcome in favour of 9th Assembly member, Hon.Egberongbe who scored 2,563 votes to defeat incumbent member, Hon. Adedayo Samuel alongside other contestants including Funmilayo Akande Muhammed, Issa Lateef Aloba
The outcome further underscores the changing political pattern in Apapa federal constituency in which Hon Egberongbe was previously defeated by Rep. Adedayo Samuel in the 2023 primary elections, and this has further consolidated Egberongbeās electoral strength and grassroots appeal in Apapa.
Hon Egberongbei, who served in the 9th Assembly built a profile around legislative visibility, structured communication of parliamentary activities, and active engagement in national discourse.
The primary election was conducted peacefully and competitively, underscoring internal party democracy within the APC, while ultimately producing a clear and decisive mandate for Hon Egberongbe ahead of the general election cycle.
