The primaries, which were keenly contested by four aspirants, produced a clear outcome in favour of 9th Assembly member, Hon.Egberongbe who scored 2,563 votes to defeat incumbent member, Hon. Adedayo Samuel alongside other contestants including Funmilayo Akande Muhammed, Issa Lateef Aloba

The outcome further underscores the changing political pattern in Apapa federal constituency in which Hon Egberongbe was previously defeated by Rep. Adedayo Samuel in the 2023 primary elections, and this has further consolidated Egberongbe’s electoral strength and grassroots appeal in Apapa.

Hon Egberongbei, who served in the 9th Assembly built a profile around legislative visibility, structured communication of parliamentary activities, and active engagement in national discourse.
