The Candidate of the People’s Democratic party, PDP, For Sagbama Local Government Area in this weekend Local Government Election in Bayelsa State, Hon Alice Tangi, has expressed her readiness to deliver the dividend of democracy to the people if elected.

Hon Alice Tangi, who as a Councilor was the leader of the great Sagbama house in the Local Government, says she’s not surprised with the mammoth crowd that welcomed her at the rally, adding that it was due to her track records, and promised to do more now she has been given a bigger responsibility.

Speaking in Sagbama Town, the Local Government Headquarters, during the Grand finale of the PDP Campaigns, Hon Tangi further assured the people that she will not disappoint them but rather bring development to them.

She noted that Sagbama is the home of PDP that produces the highest number of votes for the PDP in the state, which she said even the opposition is aware of, hence the people are ready to vote in PDP, as such nobody is contending with anyone .

According to the chairmanship hopeful, who’s not oblivious of the fact that men are good, however stated that as a woman she will do better going by the fact that she will consult wider for the betterment of the people of the Area.

Her words ” Women her very peculiar in doing things that’s why you see the minds and faces of the people, they are already believing am going to change situations here, they know as a councilor, the leader of great Sagbama house, while I was there, I made a great impact, so with this higher position they know am going to make everything okay and better by the grace of God.

“Am saying to the people that am not going to disappoint them, expectations is very high because Women can do better, am not saying men are not doing well, but women when you gave them positions you will see the husband will be there, the father’s elders and leaders to advise her, you can see everyone is here to guide me, am not going to take decisions on my own, am going to consult that’s why I will not fail.” She stated.

She thanked the Governor of Bayelsa State, Senator Douye Diri, former Governor Henry Seriake Dickson and other party stalwart for finding her worthy to fly the the party’s flag.

Earlier the People’s Democratic Party Vice Chairman For Sagbama west, Hon Michael Magbisa, by the power confered on him by the state chairman Solomon Agwanana, presented the party’s flag to all fourteen local Government Councilors representing various wards in the Local Government.

Hon Tari Afenfia, Candidate of the PDP for ward 13 who also spoke to Newsmen at the sideline after receiving his flag, promise to work with the chairmanship candidate so that the people of his ward can also benefit from the lots the chairman will bring to fore .

Dignitaries present at the occasion includes the Sagbama Caucus Vice Chairman O Osusu, the Chief of Staff to the Governor Hon Peter Peretubo Akpe, the member representing Sagbama Constituency 1& 3 Hon Godbless Oyinke and Hon Ebizimor Brown respectively, South South PDP Secretary Felix Omemu, PDP Women leader Mrs Christiana Ebelli among others.
