The Kebbi State Government has relieved all 21 Local Government Education Secretaries (ES) in the state of their appointments.

The Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Alhaji Yakubu Bala-Tafida, announced this in a statement issued to newsmen in Birnin Kebbi on Monday.

According to the SSG, the decision takes immediate effect.

He stated that all 21 Education Secretaries had been directed to hand over the mantle of leadership to the Directors of Administration in their respective local government areas.

Bala-Tafida added that the state government appreciated their contributions to the development of education while serving as Education Secretaries across various local government education authorities in the state.

“While the state government appreciates your contributions, it also wishes you well in your future endeavours.

You are to report to your previous offices,” he said.
