For parents, guardians as well as well-wishers of the graduating students of the LeadWay British Academy, Federal Housing Estate, Karu District, Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Abuja, it was a moment of cheerfulness as they were hosted to prize giving and graduation ceremony of the 2023 graduands of the School.

The epoch making event was put together by management of the great citadel of learning to celebrate its Pupils and Students who have excelled in their various classes as well as their graduands, Ebony Herald international Magazine online has learnt.

The National Center for Women Development, Central Business District Abuja the Venue of the Ceremony, was filled to the brim by the management Staff, pupils, students, parents, friends and well-wishers to celebrate with the 2023 set of Graduands who are Christened the “EAGER BEAVER”, which symbolises a person that is hardworking and is always eager to do something according to Head of the School and Human Resources.

The Celebration featured other Various interesting packages, like congratulatory messages, goodwill messages, speeches and presentation of prizes to outstanding students and was attended by well-meaning Nigerians from far and near.

In her welcome address, the Executive Director of the School, Mrs Ada Agbo Ogah, congratulated the graduating students for the transition they are about witnessed in their educational pursuit.

She also applauded them for their discipline, dedication, hard work, resilience and moral rectitude, which according to her, has distinguished them and better equipped them for the next phase of their leaning and future challenges that might come their ways as they march on for further and greater attainments.

Speaking further, the Executive Director reiterated the School’s commitment and dedication towards discovering and nurturing the skills, knowledge, talents, abilities and potentials embedded in the students, believing that each of them has his or her unique talents that could be discovered through proper leaning.

In her words, “To us, success is measured by each child’s abilities to develop to his or her fullest potentials as a human being filled with knowledge, intellect, dignity, self confidence, love, respect and compassion.

“We are also determined to continually provide supportive environment where students would feel safe, loved and encouraged as he or she concentrates on learning and developing to their full potentials.”

She commended the parents, students, management staff, teaching and non teaching Staff for their supports, cooperation and understanding during the start-up stage that was characterised by some challenges occasioned by harsh economy and security challenges.

She however pledged to surmount those challenges before the commencement of the next academic session, reassuring them of the school’s commitment towards providing a conducive academic environment for enhanced teaching and learning activities.

“Our Arts Gallery, Mathematics Laboratory and all the needed structures will be completed and put to use in the next academic session.”

Also contributing, the head of School and Human Resources, Mrs, Asenath Unamba, in her speech, expressed her gratitude to the Chairman, Board of Directors, Hon.Agbo Ogah and the Executive Director, Mrs Ada Agbo Ogah respectfully, for providing the platform and opportunity to contribute her quota in the area of educational administration.

Continuing, Mrs Asenath implored the graduating students to take every step of their educational pursuit seriously, and also avoid any form of distractions they might likely face as they continue to step ahead.

She, however, cautioned them against any form of distractions from Social media and other vices that could be inimical to their set goals.

She enjoined them to stay focused and stay true to themselves, saying, “If you want to go far and succeed, you must take advice from trusted adults, study daily, set goals and put God first in all that you do.”

She further called on the parents of the graduating students to continue the good work they had already started and urged them to love and always pray for their children, adding that they should provide good parenting and counseling that would be seen rather than being heard.

Earlier, the Chairman Board of Directors of the Leadway British Academy, Hon. Agbo Ogah congratulated the graduating Students for their commitment and dedication towards their studies and learning, a feat which according to him, has attracted praises and accolades by both parent and non parents of the School.

He further urged them to sustain the tempo in their future academic pursuits.

The former Lawmaker further reassured the parents and the public of the School Management’s unwavering determination towards providing a motivated atmosphere for both the teaching and non teaching staff, even as he pledged to provide a conducive academic environment that would enhance teaching and learning.

Hon Ogah who represented Otukpo/Ohimini Federal Constituency in Benue State, appealed to parents to believe in the vision and mission of the Leadway British Academy, as they were committed to give the best to their Children at all times.

On her own, Mrs Saidatu Mo’hm Ali, who came from the far North-east Maiduguri Borno state, commended the management of the Leadway British Academy for putting in place, a guaranteed cum reliable security measures in place that would ensure the safety of their children, describing the singular act as a welcome development, saying it is very reassuring and encouraging.
