The Chief Executive Officer, CEO of the Memunat Single Mother and Child Initiative,Mrs Memunat Idu-Lah has been Honoured by the Peace Academy of Management and Administration in Nigeria as a Peace Ambassador.
Memunat Idu-Lah was Conferred with the Peace Ambassador Award, at a Joint Awards and Public Lecture/ Launcheon, Organised by the Integrated Bussiness School, in Partnership International Institute of Chartered Educationists and the Peace Academy of Management and Administration, With a theme, Peace Building for Bussiness Development, held, Thursday December 14, 2023 at the Raw Material Development and Research Agency,(RMDRA) Maitama, Abuja.
Speaking to the Press Shortly after her investiture as an Ambassador of peace, Memunat Idu-Lah said She was extremely delighted and appreciative for the Honour and recognition accorded her by the Peace Academy, pointing out that, the Award would spur her to do more in the area of peace building and Conflicts resolution.
The Memunat Single Mother and Child Initiative CEO further Stressed that, peace and harmonious Coexistence amongst Nigerians was key and inevitable for Societal progress and development,as no meaningful Progress could be recorded in a Crises ridden environment, she said.
Continuing, she said equal opportunities for all Citizens, particularly, access to quality Education irrespective of tribe, religion, and Social status was foundamental to a peaceful and crisis free Society, and must be pursue by the Government at all levels,adding that any Society that promotes inequality is bound to experience Chaos, Crises and insecurity.
Earlier,the registrar of the Integrated Bussines School which is the School that Midwife the peace Academy of Management and Administration in Nigeria, Professor, Emeka Ikenga Denies, said the Peace Ambassador’s Award Conferred on Some individuals was informed by the level of Crisis particularly, Religious and Ethnic discord that has Characterised the Nigeria Nation State, and the need to encourage Nigerians to promote peaceful and harmonious Coexistence amongst Nigerians necessitated the Award to some distinguished Nigerians who had Contributed in the area of peace building.
Prof. Denies opined that, peace building and promotion should be inculcated in the Nation’s Children and juvenile at their primary and secondary School level,so that they could Master the act,not until When they have become adult, if such step is applied Nigeria as a Country Shall experience tremendous peaceful atmosphere, he said.
” inspite of all the crises we are facing in Nigeria, it has not reached what Rwanda experienced, but today through Concerted efforts they are living peacefully and they are progressing”.
So, as a matter of urgency, the Nigerian Government should come out with Workable Modalities that would ensure a peaceful Nigeria devoid of mutual mistrust and ethnic hostilities.
