National Chairman of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), Sen. Moses Cleopas, has vowed that the party will resist every attempt to steer the country into a one party system, noting that NDC has come to change the dynamics of Nigerian politics.
Cleopas, made the assertion on Monday at the Party Secretariat in Yenagoa, the Bayelsa State capital, while receiving APC and PDP Chieftains with their supporters officially into the NDC.

He stated that the NDC has come to offer service to the people, which is a shift from the current political reality in the country, adding that Nigeria will soon see a political revolution that power to elect politicians resides with the people not just a few individuals.
According to him “In the name of politics, we shouldn’t join those that caused us pain in the past, it shouldn’t be a do or die affair. There are several elections in the state that we stood with the people against oppression from federal might and we won, we replicate same all over the country”
The National leader of our party, Sen. Seriake Dickson, during his 8 years as Governor stood firm and ensure we won election despite oppression from the opposition. Today he is leading this party, and together with the people we will conquer.
In NDC, we are politicians with convictions, we stand for fairness and equity, we don’t have to join what everybody is doing, because that doesn’t make it right. We need people like our leader who can speak truth to power.
NDC, is a pan-Nigeria Movement, it’s a party for the low, Highly placed, Poor, Rich, Weak and the Strong, so that the most favored won’t oppress others.
In his Brief, All Progressives Congress, APC, Stalwart and leader of a political bloc in Ekeremor Local Government Area, of the state, Hon. Selekebina Saboh, stated that it’s a new dawn in the political landscape of the country and in the state.
Saboh, while commending the National leader of the party for the bold and courageous steps to bring about the desired change in the political narrative in the state and the country.
He added”I am defecting today with over a thousand and two hundred supporters from my area, while more will still join us soon. I am here to strengthen the party so we can win elections at different levels in the country, we have the majority”
We have serve other parties diligently, so it’s time to do same here, we will ensure from the grassroots across the country the people will feel the breathe of fresh air. When campaign starts the people we know that we are here to win elections
