
NSCDC Nabs Serial Okada Snatcher in Osun


The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, (NSCDC) Osun State Command has apprehended a suspected serial motorcycle snatcher at Oke Ala area of the state.
The 27yrs old suspect, simply identified as Wahab Saburi who hails from Ede area of the State, was alleged of specializing in snatching and dispossessing motorcycle owners with a master key .

The State Commandant of Osun NSCDC, Michael Adaralewa, who confirmed the arrest to Newsmen in Osogbo on Wednesday, said the suspect was arrested on May 11 2024, at Oke-Ola Area, Ede, Osun State by NSCDC personnel who acted on intelligence report.
According to Adaralewa, the suspect was apprehended by officers of NSCDC and investigation revealed that whenever he steals motorcycle, he keeps it in his room at Obada Street Agate, Ede, Osun State.
“During interrogation the suspect said he started stealing motorcycle about 3years ago and on the day he was arrested, he stole a motorcycle parked in front of an apartment at Oke-Ola, Ede, and he used a particular key which he uses to steal to unlock the motorcycle.
“Discreet investigation revealed that he had four (4) stolen motorcycles in his room which he allegedly stole at Agip area, Ayo–Omoba, Obada, Ede, Osun State. According to the suspect, he sells the stolen items to his buyers at the rate of Forty-Thousand Naira only (#40,000).
” The suspect further confess that he has someone in a popular market in Ede, Osun State, who prepares sales agreement papers for him, which he, thereafter, gives to whoever buys the stolen motorcycles from him.
The Commandant, however assures members of the public that all accomplices to the crime would be made to face the full wrath of the law in due course.
He further assured that he corps shall continue to smoke out criminally minded people out of the state, adding that the suspect will soon be charge to court soon after investigation is concluded.
