Official commissioning of Seun Bosede Osamaye Library at Adeyemi Federal University of Education holds tomorrow
The Official Commissioning of Seun Bosede Osamaye library at Adeyemi Federal University of Education, Ondo, Ondo State will hold on Thursday 14th December, 2023.
The ceremony will take place at CET Centre, opposite Works, Adeyemi Federal University of Education, Ondo City by 12 Noon prompt.
According to a statement by the donor made available to Ebony Herald International Magazine, she said; As we count down to the D-Day of the Official commissioning of the 200-Capacity Ultra-modern library built and donated to my Alma Mater, It is important to emphasise that I didn’t just get here, I was at a point in my life’s journey inspired by great men and women who God placed in my path to help me and make my life’s purpose easy.
Dignitaries expected at the were; Minister of Interior, Dr Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, Education Minister, Tahir Mamman, Minister of State for Youth Development, Mr Ayodele Olawande, Hon. Stella Okotete, Executive Director, Business Development of the Nigerian Export-Import Bank and Prof. Adeyemi Idowu,
Royal Fathers of the Day include; Osemawe of Ondo Kingdom, Oba Dr Victor Adesimbo Kiladejo CFR, Olowa of Igbara-Oke, Oba Dr Francis Adefarakanmi Agbede and the Alara of Ilara-Mokin, Oba Abiodun Adefehinti.
“Tomorrow December 14th, 2023 is a day to show these great men that I’ve passed the baton of kindness they showed me in the past to humanity.
“I denied myself of certain privileges and comforts in the last two and half years to get this done. Some of us prioritize charity and humanity above material adornments.
“God bless Everyone who has contributed in no measure at a point in time to bless me, I’m grateful.
“Top on the list of my benefactors is Prof Adeyemi Ibunkunoluwa Idowu, Former Provost, Adeyemi College (Now University) of Education, Ondo. Prof and I did not start on the right foot, I faced panels as an undergraduate under him and I would have been suspended or even expelled if the panel had found me guilty.
“By an act of providence, we got to meet at the panel, he was impressed by my defence and he was instrumental to placing the foundation I rest on today, from Academics to Political, to Social development. I had my first experience of conflict resolution and leadership management under him.
“I’m grateful to God, Prof will be around tomorrow 14th December to see the seeds he planted grow into leaps and bounds.
She added, that; “When someone helps you, be deliberate about helping others, let their heads swell with pride that they have known you at a point in life. Always be sincere in your dealings with everyone and the Universe will always take care of you regardless.
I’m humbled to have This great men and women bless our university with their presence on Thursday 14th December, 2023.
“Rising Above Limitations and fulfilling purpose starts with helping someone as little as you can, the world is hard, be kind and don’t make it harder for others”, she stressed.
