Osun Amotekun arrests man for attempting to kidnap teenager. By John Dike

Operatives of Amotekun Corps has apprehended a -25 year- old man, Mumini Oseni, for allegedly attempting to kidnap a tenneger after luring her with #50 in Osogbo, Osun State.

The suspect was arrested by the operatives of Amotekun who acted on a tip off.

Reports said the suspect was trying to kidnap the young girl around obanisola street, Powerline area by giving the young girl a #50 note.

Our correspondent gathered that little girl raised an alarm which attracted the attention of her mother, and the suspect fled the scene before luck ran against him and was subsequently apprehended .

Confirming the arrest to newsmen in Osogbo, the Corps Commander of Osun Amotekun Corps, Brig. Gen. Bashir Adewinmbi said the operatives of Amotekun arrested the culprit in Osogbo while trying to kidnap a young girl around the obanisola street powerline area osogbo

He said the young girl raised an alarm which attracted her mother and the neighbours who reportedly lodged a complaint in our office.

Upon receiving the complaints “Our men at Olorunda Command were drafted to the scene and immediately arrested the suspect “.

During cross-examination, “the felon confessed to perpetrating the act and he was an ex-convict jailed for armed robbery”. Adewinmbi said.

The suspect has been handed over to the police for subsequent interrogation and prosecution.

Adewumbi ,however, appealed to the general public to always give them useful information that will help checkmate crime and criminality happening in the State .
