Police arrest 30-year old cattle rustler, kidnap suspect in Adamawa
Nigeria Police Adamawa State Command has arrested a 30 years old man, Buba Alhaji Adamu, over the allegation of kidnapping.
The suspect who hails from Abba Kumbo, Wuro Bokki in Fufore LGA, was arrested on the 23rd February, 2024, for kidnapping a woman.
The suspect who had confessed to the crime, said he had once participated in kidnapping, adding that himself and 2 other suspects currently at large abducted the woman.
He revealed that he is into cattle rustling only and not kidnapping, saying that he rustles cattle and sell at Ngurore and Song markets respectively.
“I don’t kidnap people. I rustle cattle and sell at Ngurore market in Yola South LGA and at Song market respectively. So far, I have rustled 3 cattle only”.
Meanwhile, the spokesman of the Police Command, SP Suleiman Yahaya Ngurore, said the Commissioner of Police, Dankombo Morris, had ordered discreet investigation into the matter.
SP Ngurore assured that the suspect would be charged to court as soon as investigation is completed.
