Strict Security Around National Assembly Complex As Tinubu Presents 2025 Budget

Following the 2025 budget presentation by President Bola Tinubu which was originally scheduled for yesterday Tuesday, December 17, but was moved to today Wednesday, December 18, security measures in and around the National Assembly Complex has been made stricter than usual.
All business operators and other service providers like banks and food vendors have been instructed by the management of the complex not to open for business
National Assembly Staff, members of the National Assembly, and non-essential workers were also asked to stay at home till the end of the budget presentation..
Visitors are also not to be seen around the complex.
Few staff of National Assembly on essential duty, officers with accreditation tags and a few members of the press are being allowed into the complex.
The Senate President, Dr. Godswill Akpabio, is expected to preside over the joint session along side Speaker of the Lower chamber, Hon. Abbas Tajudeen.
