…as Onilaje of Ilaje organises free medical outreach.
Traditional title holders who benefited from the free medical outreach organised by the Onilaje of Ilaje, Chief Afolabi Makanjuola for the people of Ijesa land, want colleagues to replicate the gesture in their individual domains and territories.
The Onifiye of Idado Ijesa, HRM Oba Kehinde Adebowale Taiwo and the Risa Ijoka, Ilesa, Chief Ezekiel Eniola Odeyemi, made the call while commenting on the exercise.
The Onifiye stressed the need for traditional rulers and chiefs to lead by example and impart the lives of residents of their communities positively, saying the Onilaje had lived up to the expectations of his people through the quarterly social intervention program.
The Risa of Ijoka, ilesa, Chief Odeyemi, corroborated the Onifiye by asserting that the free medical outreach would lower residents’ mortality, since early illness diagnosis would facilitate treatment and cure.
Another beneficiary, a nonagenarian who was given a free pair of corrective glasses, Madam Modupe Ajayi, was ecstatic and could not contain her prayers for the organiser and his spouse.
Mrs. Ajayi urged the residents of Ijesa land to take advantage of the opportunities presented by the Onilaje and other Ijesa sons and daughters to better their health.
Shortly after the exercise, the Onilaje of Ilaje, Afolabi Makanjuola Makanjuola, spoke, expressing his happiness with the community’s turnout, calling it an outstanding attendance.
He implored the recipients to heed medical advice, because it impacts their physical, mental, and nutritional well-being.
