Why Trump’s Final bid for Presidency set to end in Defeat

The mission of this article is to explain why Donald Trump will lose in his last bid for the presidency and why the Republican Party will finally be free.

This is my final prediction before the first vote is cast on Election Day in a country spanning four or five time zones, where New York State time is three hours ahead of California time.

By the time the polls close in New York City at 9 PM on Tuesday night, voters in Los Angeles will still have three more hours to cast their votes.

If a candidate is already losing by double digits in New York, as broadcasted on radio and TV nationwide, the bandwagon effect could easily influence voters in Los Angeles and other cities in California. Knowing where the pendulum is swinging might sway voters’ decisions based on their perception of who is most likely to win.

This assumption presents a problem and a possibility, but it is not as significant as the issue posed by the outdated Electoral College system.

This system has, in effect, created a major conundrum in American democracy, where a candidate can lose the popular vote by up to 10 million votes but still win the presidency by securing victories in most of the seven or eight swing states: Florida, Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Georgia, North Carolina, Arizona, and Nevada.

You would think that the largest states in America; California, New York, New Jersey, Illinois, Florida, and Texas, would be the ones to decide who becomes president if the election truly followed a one-person, one-vote principle, as is the case in the UK, the birthplace of parliamentary democracy.

However, that is not the case in America. Donald Trump, who has a history of dubious behaviour and a tendency to flout the law without accountability, was among the first candidates to identify this flaw in the American system and exploit it to his advantage. He prioritised winning the swing states instead of the popular vote.

He applied this strategy in 2016 when he lost the popular vote to Hillary Clinton by 3 million votes but managed to secure the Electoral College by a 306–232 margin, winning the presidency by a fluke and surprising democratic nations worldwide, including the UK, Canada, India, and Australia.

Trump did not stop there. Once in office, he set about corrupting the judiciary, especially the U.S. Supreme Court, by collaborating with Mitch McConnell, then Senate Republican Majority Leader, to ensure a 6-3 conservative majority.

He filled vacancies in the federal judiciary with Republican-leaning judges to bolster his influence and elevate himself above the Constitution, as highlighted by conservative judge Michael Luttig and Harvard constitutional law professor Laurence Tribe.

Donald Trump has become an incurable cancer in American politics. The only cure is his defeat on 5 November and his retirement from public life.

Fortunately, the Democrats are better prepared this time to counter Trump’s attempts to use intimidation, threats of violence, and voter suppression to influence the election.

He aims to use these tactics, along with other strategies, to manipulate the electorate and reclaim the White House, banking on a favourable Supreme Court to shield him from prosecution with rulings on presidential immunity. This must not be allowed to happen.

The nomination of Kamala Harris, a younger candidate, former public prosecutor, senator, and current Vice President, has dramatically changed the race’s dynamics and disrupted Trump’s plans.

Trump has even staged assassination attempts to elicit public sympathy, portraying the Democrats as orchestrators. However, these attempts have backfired. His immediate return to golfing after such incidents exposes them as mere political theatre.

Trump, a habitual narcissist, will resort to such tactics to win at any cost, seeking to pardon himself and avoid imprisonment.

Kamala Harris has conducted an impressive campaign, defeating Trump in their sole debate on 27 June. After this defeat, Trump refused to participate in further debates, aware that Harris would outshine him.

Political analysts, including David Plouffe, David Axelrod, Michael Moore, James Carville, Karl Rove, Chris Matthews, Bob Woodward, Eugene Robinson, Steve Kornacki of MSNBC, John King of CNN, Lawrence O’Donnell, Bill Maher, and George Conway, agree Trump is set to lose.

Presidential historians Jon Meacham, Michael Beschloss, Doris Kearns Goodwin, Timothy Snyder, and Allan Lichtman, known as a modern-day Nostradamus, share the same prediction.

Comedians, often seen as light entertainers but in reality highly astute commentators, also back Harris. Jon Stewart, Stephen Colbert, Jimmy Fallon, Jimmy Kimmel, and Trevor Noah, among others, support her.

This view is echoed by celebrities and sports stars, including LeBron James, Magic Johnson, Steph Curry, Oprah Winfrey, Bruce Springsteen, Taylor Swift, Alicia Keys, Beyoncé, and Jennifer Lopez.

The voice of the people is indeed the voice of God. Kamala Harris is on track to become the 47th President of the United States, breaking the glass ceiling and making history.

Please remember to vote and help others get to the polling stations. Kamala Harris is ready to make history.

I rest my case.
