The final journey home of the former Military Administrator of old Ondo State, Major General Ekundayo Opaleye (rtd) begins today, Wednesday 7th February, 2024.
According to the burial programme released by the deceased’s family, the funeral event commences with Service of Songs and Tributes at his residence, No 7, Oba Ademola Road, Ibara, Abeokuta, Ogun State between 5pm -7pm.
On Thursday 8, February 2024, Christian Wake and Tributes at his residence, No 7, Oba Ademola Road, Ibara, Abeokuta, Ogun State. Time is 5pm – 7pm.
On Friday 9, February 2024, Funeral Service at The Reception Centre, Olusegun Presidential Library, IBB Boulevard, Oke-mosan, Abeokuta.
10:00am – 12pm.
Interment and Military burial follows immediately by 12pm -1:30pm.
Reception of guests will hold at Abeokuta Sports Club, Oba Ademola Road, GRA, Ibara, Abeokuta, between 2pm and 8pm.
It would be recalled, that Major General Ekundayo Opaleye (rtd), ruled the old Ondo State from August 1986 to December 1987, during the military regime of General Ibrahim Babangida.
