INEC declares Okpebholo (APC) winner of Edo governorship election

The All Progressives Congress (APC) Candidate in Edo State Governorship election Senator Monday Okpebholo has emerged the winner of the Saturday Edo State governorship election.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) made the declaration at the collation center in Benin City Sunday evening.

Okpebholo secured 291,667 votes, defeating his main rival, Asue Ighodalo of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), who garnered 247,274 votes.

Labour Party candidate Olumide Akpata came third with 22,763 votes
