Senate President Akpabio Denies Impeachment Threats
In a boldly-worded statement, Senate President Godswill Akpabio has categorically refuted rumors of an imminent impeachment plot against him, dismissing the reports as nothing but “fake news” orchestrated by malicious sources.
Accompanied by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Hon. Eseme Eyiboh, Senator Akpabio condemned the accusations as the handiwork of “fifth columnists” aimed at sowing discord within the Senate’s ranks.
The allegations stemmed from an online publication by OrderPaper Nigeria suggesting that the National Assembly had fallen under the control of the Department of State Services due to purported impeachment threats against Senator Akpabio. However, the Senate President has staunchly denied these claims, asserting that they hold no validity.
Senator Akpabio has reaffirmed his unwavering dedication to advancing the legislative goals of the 10th Senate and ensuring that the nation’s pressing issues are effectively addressed for the betterment of all Nigerians.
His statement urged the public to dismiss the unfounded rumors and instead focus on the Senate’s determined efforts to enhance the well-being of citizens and propel national progress.
