Kebbi State Lawmakers Donate N10M To Families of Mera Attack Victims

Kebbi State National Assembly members extended their heartfelt condolences to the Argungu Emirate following the recent bandit attack in Mera town, Augie local government
Leading the delegation were His Excellency Senator Muhammad Adamu Aliero, Senator Yahaya Abdullahi, and Major General Aminu Bande.
Other members included Hon. Sani Yakubu Noma (representing Argungu/Augie), Dr. Ibrahim Mera ( Chiroman Kabi), Hon. Buhari Aliero, Alhaji Samaila Bui, and Alhaji Atiku Bunu, the state PDP chairman, along with other executive committee members.
During the visit, the lawmakers expressed sympathy for the victims and their families, stressing the urgent need for enhanced security measures to protect local communities. They pledged to work with relevant authorities to ensure the safety and well-being of Kebbi State residents.
In a show of solidarity, the delegation announced a donation of 10 million naira as support for the families affected by this tragic incident.
They also called for unity among residents to confront the challenges posed by banditry and violence in the region.
The lawmakers urged the community to remain vigilant and proactive in safeguarding their neighborhoods, emphasizing that a united front is crucial to overcoming such adversity. They committed to advocating for the necessary resources to bolster security efforts in Kebbi State.
The lawmakers promised engagements with the community and relevant stakeholders to foster peace and security, as they assured that they would bring this issue to the Senate during the next plenary.
