The president of the Urhobo Youth Leaders Association, Abuja Chapter— Mr. Kennedy Ejename, has commended the leadership style of the Minister of the FCT, Chief (Barr.) Nyesom Wike.
Speaking recently to newsmen, he said: “We would like to commend the high pedigree, sound intellect, and the passion which the Honourable Minister of the FCT Abuja, is administering the area. His commitment to modern trends and progressive policies is truly remarkable,” he explained adding that, “Under the leadership of Nyesom Wike, the FCT has witnessed significant growth and development. His vision for a forward-thinking and sustainable city is truly commendable.”
Ejename also expressed his admiration for the initiatives Wike has undertaken thus far, “which have created a positive impact on the lives of the residents and visitors of Abuja. President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s choice of Nyesom Wike as the Minister of the FCT, Abuja is born out of his desire to have Abuja transformed into a megacity. The idea is for Nyesom Wike to bring on board his progressive and robust leadership system that will give Nigerians a befitting Federal Capital. Today, under the visionary leadership of Nyesom Wike the city is undergoing a remarkable transformation in its road network and traffic management. Stringent enforcement of traffic rules coupled with innovative urban planning have not only eased congestion but also enhanced road safety.”
He expressed delight that “as the city continues to evolve, it is pertinent to state that Nyesom Wike ensures that residents have a smooth drive within the city, and that motorists adhere strictly to traffic regulations that will ensure safer roads in Abuja.”
In the area of security, he said: “Abuja was once plagued by notable levels of insecurity that impacted the safety and well-being of residents. However, in recent times, the city has been fortunate to have the services of a seasoned Sheriff in the person of Wike as an administrator of the FCT. Under his diligent leadership, Nyesom Wike dedicated his time to see to the welfare of the city and its inhabitants, even as he recognizes the urgency of addressing the issue of insecurity, by putting in place various proactive measures.No doubt, you will agree with me that Wike is working round the clock. He has instilled a renewed sense of hope and confidence in the people of Abuja. While challenges persist, the combined efforts of improved law enforcement, community engagement, targeted socio-economic development, and infrastructure enhancements have created a positive trajectory for the city and overall security.”
He concluded by castigating those against Wike.
” Only a myopic thinker would see Nyesom Wike’s leadership style as a threat and a set back to Abuja and Nigeria. However, it is important to let these retrogressive minds know the kind of quality the person of Wike commands. The President saw in him an astute administrator who possesses a combination of key qualities that will distinguish him in his role as the Minister of the FCT. This is one of the major reasons why he was made the Minister. Nyesom Wike has always demonstrated exceptional organizational skills, efficiently coordinating tasks and resources. He understands that clear communication is paramount towards fostering a transparent and collaborative environment. A man of this high intellect is what some shallow narrow minded persons are calling on Mr President to remove. If only they know that they have been daydreaming all this while, they would have kept their thoughts to themselves. Indeed, their assertions are laughable. We are confident that with his leadership and dedication, FCT Abuja will continue to thrive and grow to be one of the very best cities in the world. We must thank him for his tireless efforts in ensuring the progress and prosperity of the FCT, and for considering the importance of a comprehensive mega city that we all will be proud of.”
