
The Chairman, Rufus Giwa Polytechnic Alumni Association, Abuja Chapter, formerly Ondo State Polytechnic, Owo Alumni Association, Otunba Abubakar Adeshina, has expressed his Profound appreciation to the dignitaries, guess, friends and members that attended the 2023 End of Year Party, held at the Aso Hall of the International Conference Centre, Garki Abuja.
Adeshina said the turnout of participants is an indication of the love, commitments and dedication they have for the Abuja chapter of the association, in spite of their busy schedules.
In appreciating the presence of the Honourable Minister of Interior, Hon. Bunmi Ojo and his entourage at the ceremony, he said it was a demonstration of his humility, respect and honour, and also his progressive and developmental inclination, adding that no other respect and recognition could have been shown to the alumni than what the minister displayed.
Engr. Adesina further described the minister as a leader who is humility personified, whose nature of respect-for-all is without boundaries; a virtue he demonstrated in all his previous political offices, moreso that he is from Ondo State, Owo, the home of Rufus Giwa Polytechnic.

Adeshina also commended the executives and the entire members of the Abuja chapter of the association for their support and cooperation over the years, which has enabled the actualisation of its set goals, and enhanced love, unity of purpose, individual members development, and most importantly, giving back to their Al-ma-mater, which is the basics of the existence of the alumni, even as he charged them to sustained the tempo which has made the Abuja chapter the envy of all

.

Commenting on the leadership style of Adeshina, a member of the Abuja chapter of the alumni and CEO of Galak Technology LTD, an ICT consulting firm, Mr. Akin Aluko, applauded Adeshina for his sterling leadership qualities, which has translated to progress, development, and above all, brotherliness amongst members of the Abuja Chapter of the Alumni of Rufus Giwa Polytechnic.
He further described Adeshina as a humble, selfless and progressive leader, who always put others first before himself.
Also speaking, the National President of the Alumni, Engr. (Chief) Adeola Adesina Victor, commended the Abuja chapter Chairman, Abubakar Adeshina, for his innovative ideas, which has transformed the chapter not just to a social association, but to an organisation that is welfarist in nature, income generating cum- economic empowerment of it members.
He then urged the chairman to remain focus and consistent in his quest to achieve his plans for the chapter.
Earlier, the General Secretary of RUGIPO Alumni, Abuja Chapter, Mr. Akinola Moses, who chronicled some of the strides recorded by the alumni in the year under review, said the welfare of members was prioritized, which resulted to given out soft loans to members from the Alumni’s Cooperative Society.

He mentioned also that some members secured employment through the efforts of the alumni and others got contract connections through the relentless efforts of the chapter’s leadership.
Continuing, Moses further explained that the association’s estate was already taking shape as members have started erecting structures, while final payment for the plots is at a concluding phase.
He said RUGIPO Alumni Abuja Chapter has a good collaboration with the National Executives of the Association, which enabled them to attend all the national programs of the Alumni at the national headquarters.
